Introduction to Ornithology Class
Are you interested in birds? Would like to learn about the science behind them? Ever wanted the opportunity to set up a mist net? Mommy/Daddy & Me Spanish Hour
Learn Spanish with your child or grandchild in this fun, interactive hour! Each week kids and their caregiver will learn about a new theme through books, songs, crafts and more. Join knowledgeable WRI staff on this birding survey around our campus! All skill levels welcome. This is a great opportunity to learn about eBird, the largest biodiversity-related community science project in the world, and utilize it to record our observations of local wild birds. We will conduct four 15-minute stationary bird counts for an hour of birding. Total walking distance is ½ mile, over a gravel path with two moderate hills.
