Improving Sprayer Performance (Cashmere)
Thursday, March 26 @ 1:00-5:00PM
5304 Old Monitor Road
Cashmere WA 98815
The program will cover:
• Matching spray pattern to canopy shape. Learn to analyze spray distribution and adjust nozzles to get every drop to the crop.
• Matching airspeed to your canopy. Airspeed: how much is enough? How much is too much? Learn how to reduce airspeed with fan speed, blade pitch, and baffles to match canopy type and reduce drift.
• Covering the target. Droplet size considerations. Adjust to apply many small droplets that will stick to the whole leaf surface. Gwen will demo nozzles, pressure gauges, and proper calibration.
This event is funded by USDA NIFA-Crop Protection Grant and co-sponsored by Chelan Fruit Cooperative.
