An Historical Look at Wenatchee’s “Shacktown”

Local historian Chris Rader chats with KOHO Morning Show host Chris Hansen about Shacktown, a quasi-transient encampment located along the banks of the Columbia River in Wenatchee during the first five decades of the 20th Century.
Thats horribly sad that politicians displacing people was what got them elected. Not much has changed in this valley. Police are still forcing the less fortunate out of the only shelter they have . Its sad that we haven’t evolved as a community and continue to make it a us vs. them issue instead of making sure our species are taken care of.
