NE Washington is saturated with cougars (WDFW staff’s words) and the proposed options will do very little to alleviate the problem. We are running over them with cars, incidents with pets, livestock and human encounters is at an all time high and our deer herds are being decimated. A year round season, no limits and $5 or free tags just might help but that is doubtful as, again, staff has said we will not be able to get their numbers under control without the aid of hounds.

Cougar numbers need to be drastically reduced. The WDFW must make every effort to protect the citizens who pay their wages NOT the cougars!!! They need to stop treeing them, collaring them & then letting them go.
