‘Dynamic, Challenging Year’ For Business Community, Chamber Director Says
Shiloh Burgess is the Executive Director of the Wenatchee Valley Chamber of Commerce and joins KOHO’s Dan Langager to recap the year for the local business community and look ahead towards next.
Burgess said the local retail sector lost jobs in 2019 and with the minimum wage going up to $13.50 starting Jan. 1, 2020, she said business owners are worried about its impacts.
2020 will bring staffing changes to the Chamber and they’re tracking a number of issues and bills in Olympia, with lawmakers convening for the 2020 legislative session Jan. 13.
And Burgess said the Chamber is hosting several events next month as well.
