DNR Fire Engine Gets Second Wind at Lake Wenatchee Fire & Rescue

Rural fire districts are typically the first to respond to wildfires in their coverage area.

Legislation enacted two years ago seeks to enhance their firefighting efforts with surplus equipment from the state’s largest firefighting force.

Marcus Bellissimo reports one such backcountry engine is coming to Chelan County District #9.
