Outdoor Report – Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance

In this week’s KOHO Outdoor Report, Dan Langager talks with Ian Woodford and Tony Hickok, Vice Presidents of the Central Washington Chapter of the Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance.

EMBA is working with Eastmont Metropolitan Parks to build a bicycle pump track at Eastmont Community Park. Hickok said construction will begin as soon as they start raising funds. They launched a Go Fund Me page asking for community support.

Trail work parties also continue up No. 2 Canyon and EMBA has several events lined up this fall, including the annual Dark Side Festival this Saturday Sept. 28, put on by Wenatchee Valley Velo, and Blood, Sweat and Beers Oct. 19.

Woodford said they’re also looking for mountain biking instructors to teach their classes and workshops. Get involved by contacting Kate at [email protected].
