NCW Fire Update – Friday, August 9

Lightning-caused fires throughout the region from July continue to burn, as we prepare for another round of thunderstorms. Marcus Bellissimo has the latest on fire season in North Central Washington.

    It is Very disappointing to not hear something on your station about the thunder and lightning last night! What could be more newsworthy than that, as we all worry about wildfires. Mike

      Mike, we couldn’t agree with you more on fire danger right now and its newsworthiness. We’ve been talking about the upcoming thunderstorm all week, with the red flag warning in our weather reports and talking with local fire managers like in this story above.
