‘Can’t Thank Community Enough,’ Says New Cascade School Superintendent

Tuesday was the first day of the year for the Cascade School District. A lot is happening in the district right now, from the newly-renovated Peshastin-Dryden Elementary, to new school board members and a new superintendent.

Dr. Tracey Beckendorf-Edou is a Washington State native who’s been teaching in Oak Ridge Tennessee since 2010 and has also taught in Africa.
She replaces Bill Motsenbocker, who retired at the end of June.
Beckendorf-Edou talks about getting up to speed on the schools and families of the Upper Wenatchee Valley, the renovated facilities, first day of school and more.
