‘The Plaza’ – Pybus Market’s Latest Project – Opens Tonight

Pybus Market has become one of the go-to destinations in the Wenatchee Valley. And a project to enhance and expand its outdoor space wraps up today, as Marcus Bellissimo reports.
Six years after Pybus Public Market opened in Wenatchee, construction hasn’t slowed down renovating the old steel mill.
Last year major upgrades turned the annex building into an events center. And today an outdoor plaza project wraps up. Construction fencing comes down tonight, said Steve Robinson, Pybus Market’s Executive Director, which means it’s open for parking tomorrow.
Robinson said that will help a lot with the parking pinch they’ve had since construction started last month. The Plaza is at the south end of the market, at the foot of Orondo Avenue.
Robinson said the project will expand and enhance the Pybus campus, including the dirt lot adjacent to Pybus, and also provide easy pedestrian access to the Apple Capital Loop Trail. The project added new pavers, landscaping and light poles, and includes four handicapped parking stalls.
