Wen. Police Bust Drug House Near High School, Put Schools On Lock-Down During Raid

Police raided a drug house near a couple of schools in Wenatchee, a drug house where the dealing was being done by a juvenile, as Marcus Bellissimo reports.

Wenatchee High School and Pioneer Middle School were under a “shelter in place” notice Thursday afternoon at the request of the Wenatchee Police Department. Officers were serving drug-related search warrants at a home on Howard Street near the two schools around 2 p.m.

Students were not in immediate danger. During a shelter in place, all doors and windows are locked and no one is allowed on or off school campus. School officials said the shelter-in-pace was implemented as a precautionary measure toward ensuring student safety.
