Chelan County Commission Update with Bob Bugert – Overnight Rentals, Flood Risk

Chelan County Board of Commissioner Bob Bugert joins Dan Langager on the KOHO Morning Show to talk about what the melting snow means for flood risk in the county. Bugert said the creation of the county’s Flood Control Zone District has been a major help for projects in areas like No. 2 Canyon, Slide Ridge, Mad River and Mission Creek.

Bugert said the commissioners and county staff are also exploring new rules governing overnight rentals in the unincorporated areas of the county, something the City of Leavenworth did recently. Bugert said they’re asking for your thoughts on the issue.
