With City of Wenatchee’s Funds, Pybus Market Plaza A Go

Wenatchee Mayor Frank Kuntz joins Dan Langager on the KOHO Morning Show to talk about riverfront development, including at and near Pybus Public Market.
Last week, the Wenatchee city council approved $240,00 in state Local Revitalization Financing toward a plaza at Pybus’ south entrance at the foot of Orondo Ave. The Pybus Market Charitable Foundation will put up the rest and is responsible for constructing and maintaining the plaza. The city owns the land under the market and will maintain the underground utilities.
Kuntz said the city will also build a parking garage across the street from the market later this year and how the new plaza fits in with the overall riverfront development plan put together nearly 15 years ago.
