In this week’s KOHO Outdoor Report, Dan Langager talks with Andy Dappen of WenatcheeOutdoors.org about the remarkable amount of snowfall the region has seen over the last week and what that means for winter recreation.

Amazing powder skiing, crisp nordic trails, more snowshoeing terrain, good ol’ sledding – it’s all prime right now. Dappen was further east skiing in northern Idaho and Mt. Spokane and plans to do some downhill and backcountry this weekend.

But avalanche danger is high right now in the backcountry and Dappen recommends always checking in with the Northwest Avalanche Center.
