12th District Senator Brad Hawkins joins Dan Langager every Tuesday on the KOHO Morning Show during the 2019 legislative session in Olympia.

Today Hawkins talks about a bill he’s sponsoring that would create the Community Forest Grant Program and Community Forestland
Account, authorizing state and local agencies, tribes, and qualified nonprofit organizations to apply for funds for the acquisition, development, and restoration activities of community forest projects.

Hawkins said he’s received a lot of local support for the measure, ahead of a committee hearing this afternoon.
