2017 Wash. Cherry, Apple Crops Higher Than Projected

This year’s cherry harvest was 23 million boxes, several million higher than expected. The apple crop is estimated at 131 million boxes, which would make it the third largest in state history.

Jon DeVaney, President of the Washington State Tree Fruit Association, joins Dan Langager on the KOHO Morning Show to talk about why both crops came in above projections, the quality of this year’s fruit, a worker shortage the last couple years and more.
