10 a.m. Thursday Update – Spartan, Sutherland Canyon Fires

Good news across the board on both the Spartan and Sutherland Canyon Fires. The Spartan is now over 80% contained at 8,730 and all evacuation notices for homes in the Colockum area will be lifted at noon today. The Sutherland Fire is 50% contained at 37,900 acres, with the most fire activity northwest of Quincy. But evac alerts have been downgraded in Grant County as well.
