USDA Loans Available for Women, Minority Farmers in Chelan-Douglas Counties
Agriculture has been and will likely continue to be a pillar of the local economy. But in recent decades – in part due to the growth of farmer’s markets – smaller, local growers are seeing more of their products reach consumers. Both start-up and maintence costs for small farms can eat up revenue, so to help fill the gap the U.S. Department of Agriculure is offering loans to local farmers in Chelan and Douglas Counties.
