Suncrest Fire Update: 9 a.m. Sunday Aug. 28
Here are the latest Suncrest Fire stats from the Northwest Command Center morning briefing:
The fire is over 250 acres in size located two miles northeast of Leavenworth. It’s listed at 75% containment, but still considered active fire behavior.
It’s burning in timber, brush and grass. Structures, power infrastructure and private timber threatened. Fire officials said one home has been lost.
The fire started Saturday Aug. 27 around 3:30 p.m. and officials believe it was human caused.
Local resources were out on the fire throughout the night. A Type III team is managing the Suncrest Fire.
