Level 3 Evacs for Suncrest Fire off North Road in Peshastin

Level 3 evacuation orders are in place for dozens of homes on and near North Road between Leavenworth and Peshastin. It’s being called the Suncrest Fire and “Get out now” notices are in place for North Road between Peshastin and Chumstick, as well as Suncrest Drive, Fox Road, Cemetery Road, Rabbit Lane and Anderson Road. About 75 homes are under Level 3 evac – the north side of North Road from Fox Road to Anderson Road. Level 2 evacs include the south side of North Road between Fox Road and Anderson Road. Wind is blowing the fire eastward. The Central Washington Interagency Command Center has two helicopters making water drops. We have unconfirmed reports of one home on fire. More details as soon as we have them.
