Army Corps Approves Cascade School Construction on Pine St.
The Army Corps of Engineers has given the okay to the Cascade School District to start construction on their Pine Street property that will eventually house new practice fields. The parcel can get soggy in the spring time and so engineers wanted to make sure it shouldn’t be classified as a wetland.
Superintendent Bill Motsenbocker said they will still have to add some culverts and underground piping, which will be included in their new construction at Cascade High. Motsenbocker said when excavation begins for the high school addition and new elementary school, crews will set aside that dirt to cover up the new culverts and for the new practice fields. Dan Langager chatted with Bill Motsenbocker to learn more.
