Chelan-Douglas Counties’ Energy Future – A Chat with Ross Macfarlane
When talking about energy in North Central Washington, and specifically Chelan and Douglas Counties, the conversation can largely begin and end with hydro-power from local dams. Two groups are working to widen that discussion – Climate Conversations of North Central Washington and Climate Solutions, based in Seattle. At an event this Sunday in Wenatchee, Senior Advisor for Climate Solutions Ross McFarlane will discuss clean energy in Chelan and Douglas counties into the future. KOHO’s Dan Langager sat down with McFarlane for his thoughts on alternative energy sources, how Washington state can lead the way in America and opportunities for individuals and businesses locally to use and promote clean energy.
Macfarlane’s talk is this Sunday March 20 at 7 p.m. in Van Tassell Hall at Wenatchee Valley College. Learn more at climatesolutions.org.
