A tad smoky in the Wenatchee Valley today and that’s mostly due to the Buck Creek Fire north of Lake Wenatchee. It’s now estimated at just under 1,100 acres in size. It’s burning in steep forested terrain in the Glacier Peak Wilderness and not threatening any structures at this time. Wind today is pushing the smoke east towards Chelan, Entiat and North Wenatchee.
Further east, several large blazes have claimed homes in the Spokane region, burning thousands of acres and putting up lots of smoke. Don’t expect to see any smoke from those fires in this area, however national meteorologists say that could change later this week.
